Gate Access

When you first arrive at the ALS, gate clearance will have been arranged for you by the User Services Office. Berkeley Lab employees and visiting researchers (participating guests) may arrange for gate clearance for their visitors through the Lab's Site Access Office. Please notify the Site Office by submitting a Visitor Pass Request (see below) before 3 p.m. on the day before the expected visit. Include the name(s) of any visitors, the time you expect them, and your name and contact information. See Bringing Visitors to the ALS for additional information about visitor procedures at the ALS.

    Before 3 p.m. the day before visitor is expected, notify the Berkeley Lab Site Access Office by submitting a Visitor Pass Request .

    Note: If you have missed the 3:00 p.m. deadline, call the Site Access Office (ext. 4551); after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, and on weekends and holidays, call security guard on duty at Blackberry Gate (ext. 5472).
