How to Get to the Computer Graphics Lab

Situated on a hillside near the southeast corner of Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) campus is located on Parnassus Ave and occupies several large multistory buildings (appearing in the middle of this synthetic aperture radar image of San Francisco.) The Computer Graphics Laboratory (CGL) is centrally located on campus in the Medical Sciences building. (See campus map.) A Portable Document Format (PDF) map of the campus is also available, suitable for viewing with a browser plugin, as well as a PostScript map, suitable for printing on any PostScript printer.

Here's how to reach UCSF via public transportation...

A scalable, printable street map provides a good means of finding your way here. A map of the San Francisco public transit rail system is also available (UCSF is just south of the of the east end of Golden Gate Park).

Once you're on campus...

It's pretty easy to find the Medical Sciences building. The entrance to this building is a few steps up from street level and has several large glass doors. Find the main lobby elevators and take one to the 10th floor. Turn right when you get off the elevator. The CGL is a few steps down the corridor in rooms S-1022 and S-1024. Call one of the phone numbers listed above if you have any problems.

Wish you were here right now, but can't be?

How about an image of San Francisco and the Bay from a video camera feed instead (about 1/4 MB of data, updated every 5 minutes)? (If the picture is all black, it's probably night time. If the picture is all white, it's likely just bay area fog.)
