| Tóm tắt | Quantum physics is increasingly being applied to real-world problems beyond the laboratory. Quantum computing, for example, shows significant potential for applications in materials science, chemistry, pharmaceuticals, logistics, cryptography, optimization, and even fundamental science. Quantum sensing of magnetic fields offers new opportunities for exploration, navigation, and medical and biological applications. Optical atomic clocks are an indispensable part of future Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS). Photonic components and devices, such as lasers and light-control units, are indispensable components of almost any quantum technology-based device. In this talk, I will give an overview of the R&D activities of the Quantum Photonic Components group at FBH aimed at developing compact, robust, and reliable photonic modules for applications in harsh environments. The presentation will include examples of our hardware developments and use them to exemplify the expertise and resources required, as well as the methods employed in our R&D activities, including CAE-based design, assembly technologies, and performance analysis. Finally, I will share my experience with challenges encountered as an RTO, particularly in space projects. |
