Tóm tắtThe KAGRA gravitational-wave telescope in Japan began its 4th international observation run (O4a), together with LIGO and Virgo, on May 24, 2023, following three years of repairs, upgrades, and commissioning efforts since May 2020. During this period, KAGRA achieved an average BNS range of 1.3 Mpc. The duty cycle also improved significantly, exceeding 80%, compared with 53% during the previous O3GK observation. After that, commissioning activities resumed, and KAGRA’s BNS range was improved to 7.5 Mpc as a result of multiple critical noise reductions, including suppression of suspension control noise, suspension thermal noise, beam jitter noise, environmental noise, and shot noise. On June 11, the LVK restarted the O4c observation, which concluded on November 18. LVK have now entered an upgrade phase toward the next international observation run, O5. In this presentation, we will report on the recent progress of KAGRA, results obtained during the O4c run, and upgrade plans toward the O5 observation period.
