The characteristics of this effect are investigated through the interband optical transition rate between the two lowest levels of hole and electron in a strong pump laser field. Our numerical results and quantitative analysis not only confirm the existence of the optical Stark effect in the considered structure but also show that both the detuning, confined frequency and the geometrical parameters of the quantum dot have a strong influence on the behaviors of the exciton absorption spectrum.
