Pre-arrival information

Visa

To enter Vietnam, you may need a visa. Citizens of the ASEAN countries, Russia, P.R. China, R. Korea and Japan may not need a visa for a short visit. If you are not sure, please inquire your local Vietnamese consulate.

In case you need a Vietnam visa, you may use an online service such as "My Vietnam Visa" to obtain a "visa on arrival" which can be collected upon your arrival at a Vietnamese international airport.

If you need help from the organizers in obtaining a visa, please complete the VISA FORM (or its PDF format) and return it to the workshop secretariat at least 2 weeks before your date of arrival.

Transportation

Da Nang has an international airport (DAD) with connections to Seoul, Taipei, Macau, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Siem Reap, Vientiane and major cities in Viet Nam.

The cost of taxi from Da Nang airport to the workshop venue is about 130,000 VND (~ 6.5 USD) for 8 km.

Domestic flights in Vietnam can be booked online with Vietnam Airlines, or Jetstar. Remember to book your flight early to get good price.
