Configuration of LAN at the Institute of Physics consists of:
01 Fileserver has name on Workgroup is: \ \fileserver
The server contains software applications and database sources are provided when there are requirements.
If you want to connect to fileserver to back up your data, please following to below steps:
- On the desktop screen, choose the symbol My Network Places -> push the right mouse and choose Map Network Drive.
- A menu will be appeared then with the default hard driver is Z:; at the Folder box,
you have to type name of driver to your folder on the fileserver, exp: \ \fileserver\users\anhntv
- Continue choosing "Reconnect at logon" and click mouse at "use different name" -> a menu happens and you have
to type the username and password which have been created by administrator on the fileserver -> click mouse on ok.
- Your computer will automatically creat a connect driver to fileserver and put it in "window explore" to back up data from your computer.
01 Mailserver has IP: 1.0.0.6
To access to your own Email box on the mail-server when you are using a computer in the local network of IOPE,
there are two ways of manipulating:
- Type the address directly on Internet Explorer: http://1.0.0.6:3000/
- If you are on the Homepage of IOP following the address: http://thule/,
you log in directly on the form
When you are in cafe internet bars:
01 proxyserver has IP: 1.0.0.1
To access Internet in local network of IOP:
- In Internet Explore -> choose Tool -> choose Internet Options -> choose Connections
- In menu Connections -> choose LAN setting.
- Click on options: "Use a proxy server"
and "Bypass a proxy server for local addresses". Then type the address and port: HTTP: 1.0.0.1; Port: 3128
In "Do not use proxy server ..." type 192.168.1.* -> OK,
