By tracing the electron trajectories, we uncover the underlying mechanisms of NSTI, which involve a combination of recollision and sequential ionization. Specifically, electrons ionized by the laser field can return to recollide with the parent ion, either directly ionizing the remaining bound electrons or exciting them to be ionized after a characteristic time delay. Crucially, we investigate how the laser wavelength impacts the dynamics of this NSTI process. Our results demonstrate that with laser fields of identical intensity, varying the wavelength significantly alters the ionization dynamics and shifts the relative contributions of the underlying mechanisms.
