Announcements regarding the Doctoral program and the Scholorship program
K2-SPRING Application form.
The program recruits for those who intend to enter a doctoral program at Kyushu University in April 2026.
1. Important Deadlines
(1) Pre-entry period; from Nov. 1 to Nov. 17, 2025, at noon (https://forms.office.com/r/ffSPCUi13q )
(2) Receipt of Application Form, Transcript, and Academic Papers (option) ; from Nov. 4 to Nov. 18, 2025 at noon. (https://k-spring.kyushu-u.ac.jp/en/admission/#admission-section-1 )
(3) Announcement of the final results: Feb 9, 2026
2. Merit of K2-SPRING
(1) The student can receive support of 200,000 JPY per month as a research aid for residence in Japan.
(2) Half tuition fee will be waived.
(3) The student can receive support of 350,000 JPY per year as a research expenses for three years.
(4) Announcement of the results is Feb. 9, 2026, which is before the entrance of the Doctoral Course starting from April 2026.
3. Notice about K2-SPRING
(1) Research aid will be paid only from Apr. 2026 to Mar. 2027.
(2) The program requires that the students contribute directly to the innovation in a research institution, company, or other place in Japan during a period of 10-year after graduation.
