The correlated Chern insulator is described by the Haldane model and the electron correlations are incorporated by introducing the short-range interaction between the itinerant electrons and localized fermions. It is found that the edge states are affected by electron correlations. In weak electron correlation region, the Dirac electron states are established at the boundary of the insulator that the phase is typically a Chern insulator, while in strong correlation region, the edge states are not observed.
