| Abstract | This presentation aims at introducing parallel and accelerated computing for those who have very little or even no experience with these topics. The first part of the presentation will focus on basic principles for implementing MPI and OpenMP on CPU, and OpenACC and CUDA on GPU, using simple Fortran codes for demonstration. In the second part, the efficiency of accelerated computing will be demonstrated via an example of computing Hamiltonian matrix for interacting fermions in second quantization representation. |
