VAST Delegation Strengthens Scientific Ties with South Korea Through Visit to Ewha Womans University
On April 18, 2024, a high-level delegation from the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST), comprising representatives from the Institute of Physics, the Institute of Materials Science, and the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH), conducted an official visit to Ewha Womans University in Seoul, South Korea. The visit was part of a broader initiative by VAST to expand its international partnerships and enhance collaborative research and educational exchange in the fields of science and technology.

The visit began with a formal meeting between the Vietnamese delegation and representatives of Ewha Womans University, including the Vice President, held at the university’s Office of Admissions. During the meeting, both parties discussed potential avenues for academic and scientific cooperation. A particular emphasis was placed on the mutual desire to develop student and researcher exchange programs, enabling young scientists and graduate students to gain international experience and build global research networks.
Following the meeting, the delegation visited the College of Natural Sciences at Ewha, where they had the opportunity to learn more about the university’s research facilities, ongoing projects, and academic environment. One of the most significant outcomes of the visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Institute of Physics (VAST) and the Institute for Basic Science at Ewha Womans University. The MoU outlines a framework for future cooperation in fundamental scientific research, joint projects, co-publications, and potential co-organization of academic events such as workshops, seminars...etc...
