Quy Nhơn is served by Vietnam Airlines through Phu Cat Airport with direct local flights connected to Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City. The Phu Cat airport is about 30 km northwest of Quy Nhon.

To reach the town center (including Quy Nhon University and the School hotel) from the airport it costs about 300,000 – 400,000 VND (15 – 20 USD) by taxi, and about 50,000 VND by airport minibus.

By train
Quy Nhơn Railway Station is reached by a branch off the main line of the North–South Railway. Trans-Vietnam trains (Thong-nhat trains) stop only in Dieu Tri Railway Station, which is around 10 km west of Quy Nhơn.

It costs about 150,000 – 200,000 VND (7 – 10 USD) to go from the railway station to the town center by taxi.
