Doubly holography for understanding the dynamics of entanglement entropy

Trần Ngọc Hưng

Phenikaa University

We review recent developments in the study of the black hole information paradox using doubly holographic models (DHMs). By introducing an additional brane embedded in the AdS bulk, DHMs allow black holes to be coupled to thermal baths, enabling the emergence of Page curves and entanglement islands. This framework has provided significant insights into the unitarity of black hole evaporation. In particular, the entanglement entropy initially increases and then saturates after the Page time due to the appearance of an island on the brane. Furthermore, applications of DHMs to charged black holes have revealed new critical parameters and phase transitions, as well as the influence of charge on the Page time and the entanglement structure.
