Motivated by a recent study of a 3-3-1 model supplemented by a singlet scalar leptoquark, which was shown to account for the muon anomalous magnetic moment and the charged lepton flavor-violating decay $\mu \to e\gamma$, we demonstrate that this framework can simultaneously accommodate the latest experimental results on $(g-2)_\mu$ and provide viable predictions for charged lepton flavor-violating processes, as well as lepton flavor-violating decays of the SM-like Higgs boson and the $Z$ gauge boson. Our numerical analysis identifies the regions of parameter space consistent with current experimental constraints, highlighting in particular the strong correlations between the branching ratios of charged lepton flavor-violating processes and the anomalous magnetic moments of charged leptons.
