We investigate topological edge states in one-dimensional off-diagonal mosaic lattices, where nearest-neighbor hopping amplitudes are periodically modulated. Analytically, we derive a simple expression for the energies of discrete edge states, extending the Su–Schrieffer–Heeger model to multi-band systems. Numerical calculations reveal that these states remain robustly localized and exhibit distinctive nodal structures. Their existence is found to depend sensitively on the edge termination, particularly on the arrangement of strong and weak bonds at the lattice boundaries. Our results uncover a rich interplay between topology and periodic modulation, providing a versatile framework for designing multi-gap topological phases and facilitating their realization in synthetic quantum and photonic platforms. Keywords: Mosaic lattice model, extended SSH model, topological edge states, bulk-boundary correspondence. References: [1]. Y. Wang et al., Phys. Rev. Lett. 125,196604 (2020). [2]. B. P.
