ProgrammeP.64 -- Posters, VCTP-51 Date: Thursday, 6 August 2026> Time: 09:30 - 10:30> Simulation of the Talbot Effect in Nonlinear Binary Waveguide ArraysMinh C. Tran [1] and Truong X. Tran [2] [1] Science and Technology Advanced Institute, Van Lang University, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam [2] Department of Physics, Le Quy Don Technical University, Hanoi, Vietnam We numerically investigate the influence of Kerr-type nonlinearity on the Talbot effect in binary waveguide arrays (BWAs). The nonlinear Talbot effect is observed over a broad range of input intensities for transverse periods (N = 1) and (N = 2). For (N = 2), a sharp switching behavior emerges depending on the excitation of waveguides with lower or higher effective refractive indices under self-focusing or self-defocusing nonlinearity, respectively. In contrast, for (N = 3, 4,) and (6), nonlinearity suppresses the Talbot effect even at low input intensities. Reference: [1] Minh C. Tran, Hue M. Nguyen, Dzung C. Duong, Quang Nguyen-The, Truong X.
