To resolve this, we performed 182Ta(n,2γ) experiment using the thermal neutron beam of the Dalat Nuclear Research Reactor to measure the two-step γ-cascade (TSC) intensity distributions of 182Ta. Using the measured data and a locally scaled, multi-model evaluation framework, we deconvoluted the electric (E1) and magnetic (M1) dipole photon strength functions. Our results reveal a prominent SR peak near 2.5 MeV in 182Ta, confirming that the collective SR remains robust despite valence nucleon pairing. We demonstrate that previous studies using the Oslo method likely missed this feature due to signal convolution, where the M1 peak was masked by an dominant E1 background. In addition, our analysis constrains the three datasets available from the Oslo method to one that was normalized using the Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov model. Presenter: Nguyen Ngoc Anh |
