ProgrammeP.56 -- Posters, VCTP-51 Date: Thursday, 6 August 2026> Time: 09:30 - 10:30> Collective excitations in double-bilayer graphene: Spin polarization effectsDong Thi Kim Phuong (1,2,3), Huynh Anh Huy (1), and Nguyen Van Men (2,3) (1) Can Tho University, Viet Nam (2) An Giang University - VNUHCM, Viet Nam (3) Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam We investigate collective excitations in spin-polarized double-bilayer graphene within the random-phase approximation. Numerical results reveal two distinct plasmon branches, namely the optical and acoustic modes, originating from in-phase and out-of-phase charge oscillations between coupled bilayer graphene sheets. Spin polarization significantly modifies the dynamical screening properties, leading to noticeable changes in plasmon energies and damping rates. In addition, dielectric screening and interlayer Coulomb coupling strongly affect the stability of the collective modes. These findings provide further insight into many-body effects in coupled graphene systems and may be useful for future graphene-based plasmonic applications. Presenter: Đổng Thị Kim Phượng |
