Nuclear deformation is a fundamental manifestation of collective motion in atomic nuclei and provides important insights into shell structure and many-body correlations. While quadrupole collectivity is well established as a signature of deformation, recent experimental and theoretical developments have renewed interest in higher-order deformation modes. In this work, deformation softness in even-even nuclei is investigated within the self-consistent Skyrme HFBCS-QRPA framework through a systematic study of low-lying quadrupole ($\lambda=2$) and hexadecapole ($\lambda=4$) excitations. Enhanced transition strengths and the occurrence of QRPA collapse are employed as microscopic signatures of soft collective dynamics. A global survey identifies characteristic regions of enhanced collectivity and highlights the interplay between shell structure and pairing correlations underlying deformation softness. The results establish systematic links between collective excitations and deformation softness, providing a microscopic picture of shape evolution across the nuclear chart. \textbf{Acknowledgments:} This research is funded by the Vietnam National Foundation for Science and Technology Development (NAFOSTED) under Grant No. 103.04-2025.07.
