By incorporating a SOC-induced mass term into the effective Hamiltonian and employing the equation-of-motion formalism, we analyze the Landau level structure and calculate directional optical susceptibilities. Our findings reveal a pronounced anisotropy in the optical response, where the χxx(Ω) component exhibits the strongest absorption compared to χyy(Ω) and χzz(Ω), reflecting intrinsic symmetry-driven selection rules. At low energies, intraband transitions dominate the spectrum with high intensity, while interband transitions display unique "half-peak" structures resulting from Pauli blocking in the doped regime. Furthermore, we demonstrate high tunability of the spectral features: increasing the magnetic field or electron density induces a significant blue shift, while SOC lifts spin degeneracy to produce symmetric peak splitting. These results establish a theoretical framework for the development of tunable infrared and terahertz optoelectronic devices using topological materials. Presenter: Huynh V. Phuc |
