ProgrammeO.44 -- Oral, VCTP-51 Date: Thursday, 6 August 2026> Time: 16:20 - 16:40> Topological defects and Gravitational WavesAdeela Afzal, Mansoor Ur Rehman, Qaisar Shafi, Amit Tiwari, NANOGrav Collaboration BLTP, JINR, Russia Gravitational waves offer a powerful probe of the early universe, providing insights into its dynamics and fundamental physics. This talk will explore the stochastic gravitational wave background (SGWB) and its potential origins, including signals detected in the NANOGrav 15-year dataset. I will discuss the model building approach that can generate topological defects, such as cosmic strings, and contribute to the SGWB linking theory to observation. This talk aims to bridge theoretical insights with observational data. Presenter: Afzal Adeela |
