Approximate solution of the Schrodinger equation with the Mie potential

Solving the Schrödinger equation using the Mie potential, a generalized form of the widely-known Lennard-Jones potential, is crucial for both fundamental and applied research in fields such as quantum mechanics, molecular physics, and physical chemistry. However, this long-standing problem remains unresolved. Here, we present a generalized approximate solution to this problem.
