ProgrammeO.32 -- Oral, VCTP-51 Date: Thursday, 6 August 2026> Time: 09:10 - 09:30> Proton-neutron pairing correlations in hot nucleiTran Vu Dong Bogoliubov Laboratory of Theoretical Physics, JINR, Dubna, Russia A generalized finite-temperature proton-neutron BCS (FT-pnBCS) framework is developed using the superoperator formalism, incorporating both isovector and isoscalar pairing channels. Calculations for the schematic equidistant multilevel model and realistic nuclei reveal a phase transition from a mixed superfluid to a pure proton-neutron ($pn$) superfluid phase, together with the emergence of $pn$ pairing reentrance in hot even-even nuclei. We show that the formation of $pn$ pairing correlations in hot nuclei is governed by a delicate interplay between thermal effects and like-nucleon pairing. Our findings highlight the crucial role of finite-temperature $pn$ correlations in nuclear structure and astrophysics, as illustrated by a qualitative analysis of Fermi charge-exchange strength distributions in hot nuclei.
