Villegas Mapua University Multichannel Kondo effect can be realized using $J_1-J_2$ Heisenberg chains subject to the image impurity boundary condition. In such systms, the XXZ anisotropy plays an important role on the impurity entropy, total impurity spin, and their scaling behaviors, such as the observation in a Luttinger liquid. By considering the impurity and the image as mean-field baths, one can study the spin-chain multichannel Kondo model with image impurity boundary condition as a non-Markovian open quantum system. Using the Heisenberg-Langevin formalism, it is shown that the impurity and the image cause noise and memory on two sites for both ends of each channel. Furthermore, the noise and memory are dependent on the anisotropy factor and their interaction with the other spins. Presenter: Villegas Paat Vladimir |
