Generalized non-Hermitian Physics

Over the last decade, non-Hermitian physics has experienced explosive growth. Nevertheless, for quantum systems, non-Hermitian physics is generally treated as a phenomenological theory. In this presentation, I will explain how we construct a microscopic basis for non-Hermitian physics and show how to go beyond the non-Hermitian approximation.
