HOW TO GET TO THE SCHOOL SITE

People coming from abroad can go to Quy Nhon (also Quynhon) via international airports in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh city (HCM city) or DANANG from where they can fly to Quy Nhon (Phu Cat airport) or travel by train or bus to Quy Nhon which is about 1000 km from Hanoi and about 600 km from HCM. A round-trip train seating ticket costs from about 1,000,000 VND (50 USD) for travel from Hanoi or from 650,000 VND (32 USD) for travel from HCM city.

Attention (for those participants coming from the countries on the south of Vietnam): it may be more convenient to fly to HCM and then fly/go to Quy Nhon.

Quy Nhon can be also accessed by train/bus/taxi from other airports: Tuy Hoa (100 km on the south, for domestiGc flights only), TAM KY (230 km on the north, for domestic flights only) and CAM RANH (270km on the south, for domestic flights and few international flights).

To go between the airport Phu Cat (about 40 km from Quy Nhon) and the town of Quy Nhon (where the school will be held) one can take a taxi or an airport mini-bus (cheaper):

-        A taxi trip to/from the town (including Quynhon university and the school hotel which will be probably near the university) costs about 300,000 – 350,000 VND (15 – 17 USD),

-    A trip with an airport minibus to/from the town (bus stop) costs about 50,000 VND per person.  A taxi trip from the bus stop to the school site (the university or the school hotel) costs about 25,000 – 30,000 VND but one can ask the bus driver to stop in a place nearest to the school hotel or the university (see "School site and accommodation" below). Anyway, if you miss or fail to do that, the university is at a walking distance from the bus stop.

The rail station of Quy Nhon (Dieu Tri station) is about 10 km from the school site: a taxi trip to the school site would cost about 120,000 – 150,000 VND. There is also a public bus connection with the city but it may not be easy for foreign participants to find and go to a bus stop.

Please, note: For taking any travel meal, specially, taxi, you should understand the price before leaving.
