GENERAL INFORMATION
The 20th Vietnam School of Physics (VSOP-20) will be held in Quy Nhon, the capital of Binh Dinh province, Central Vietnam, from 03 - 15 August 2014. The VSOP-20 is organized by Rencontres du Vietnam (RdV) and Institute of physics (IOP), VAST, Hanoi, in cooperation with Quynhon University (QU), Quy Nhon, and Institut National de Physique Nucléaire et de Physique des Particules (IN2P3), CNRS, France. This school belongs to a series of schools originating from a school created in 1994 and funded by Rencontres du Vietnam. It became an international school in 1995 with participation of Vietnamese and foreign students. The school is also funded later by the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Trieste, Italy, and the Asia-Pacific Centre for Theoretical Physics (APCTP), Pohang, Korea, as an external activity. The school will be devoted to modern problems of particle physics, astro-particle physics and cosmology on the light of new results and discoveries by the LHC and other experiments in the above-mentioned fields. Besides the above regular scientific program, it is expected the school to have a session celebrating the 20th anniversary of the VSOP. A visit to the International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE), Quy Nhơn, wil be also planned. All people (no age limit) interested are welcome to apply for participation in the VSOP-20. The school can accept about 40 participants. Some financial support may be possible for participants from developing countries (with a priority given to young people, such as junior researchers, PhD- and master students, from the Asia-Pacific region) who will attend the entire scientific program. For registration, the registration form should be completed and submitted by 15 May 2014 (Thursday).
Extension of the registration deadline: Because of a technical reason (some people cannot upload their registration form), the registration deadline has been extended for one week to 22 May 2014 (Thursday).
