BioCoRE Presented Via the Access Grid
In October of 2002, the BioCoRE team used the Access Grid to give a
presentation about the current state of BioCoRE that was viewed at
various sites around the United States.
By using the Access Grid,
Robert Brunner and Kirby Vandivort of the BioCoRE team, physically
located in Champaign, Illinois, gave a presentation that was
simultaneously broadcast to approximately 40 viewers at Boston
University, Purdue, Utah State, Ohio State Supercomputing center, New
Mexico Health Sciences and Dartmouth. Video and audio, as well as the
slide presentation itself, was transmitted and after the presentation
each of these sites had the opportunity to ask questions in a true
virtual conference presention.
