Abstract Submissions

The Advanced Light Source Users' Meeting Program Committee invites ALS users, including students and postdocs, to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations at the annual Users' Meeting, to be held at Berkeley Lab on October 10–12, 2002. Oral presentations for the Highlights from Young Researchers and some for the ALS Science Highlights sessions will be selected by the committee from the abstracts received; other submissions will be presented as posters. A special student poster competition will also be held at this year's meeting. The poster session will be held in conjunction with a reception and buffet dinner on Thursday, October 10, from 3:00 to 7:30 P.M.

Please submit a one-page abstract detailing research done at the ALS over the past year. Abstracts may be submitted online on the Abstract Submission Form page. Please indicate on the form whether you wish your submission to be considered for oral and/or poster presentation and, if applicable, whether you wish to enter the student poster competition.
Note: The poster board size is 1.2 m (4 ft) square; push pins will be provided.

Submission deadlines are:

• Friday, September 13, 2002
  To be considered for an oral presentation and/or the student poster competition
  
• Friday, September 27, 2002
  To guarantee a space in the poster session and be included in the program booklet.
