ProgrammeP.60 -- Poster, VCTP-44 Date: Thursday, 1 August 2019> Time: 08:30 - 10:00> A theoretical study of the exciton quantum beats in GaAs/AlGaAs cylindrical quantum wiresDuong Dinh Phuoc, Dinh Nhu Thao Hue University of Education In this paper we study the exciton quantum beat phenomenon in GaAs/AlGaAs cylindrical quantum wires using renormalized wavefunction theory. We consider an exciton three-level model with a strong pump laser resonating with two exciton excited levels. The results show that exciton absorption intensity is an oscillatory function of time with frequency in the TeraHertz range, which indicates the existence of exciton quantum beats. We also reveal the influence of size effect and laser detuning on amplitude and frequency of those oscillations. Presenter: Dương Đình Phước |
