In this study, we deeply investigate the nonsequential double ionization process of atom to give insight into the microscopic mechanisms of associating recollision process. The results indicate that the strong dependence of two-electron momentum distribution on relative phase of laser fields strongly stems from the different properties of recolliding electrons. All vital characteristic of the returning bunch of electrons such as returning moment, energy, as well as the possibility of energy sharing via the recollision are well controlled by changing the relative phase of laser field.
