Dynamics of Atomic Force Microscope Cantilevers dependent on the coating thickness

We study the dynamics of an atomic force microscope cantilever under irradiation of laser. Thermally induced effects change the deflection and the resonance frequency of the cantilever. For input power less than 10 μW and a coating thickness with of 20-140 nm, these values can evaluate dynamics of cantilever. The temperature distribution along cantilever and the cantilever deflection is dependent on the coating thickness.
