Investigating the Influence of Dynamic-Core Polarization on High-Order Harmonics of Linear Molecules

Using single active electron potential, we develop a method to calculate the high-order harmonics spectra for molecules by solving the time dependent Schrodinger equation within single active electron approximation. Firstly, the dependence of harmonics spectra on orientation of molecules in an ultrashort laser is presented. Then, taking into account the interaction of the active electron with the core electron induced by the laser, we theoretically investigate the influence of dynamic core polarization on high-order harmonic generation of polar (CO) and nonpolar (CO2) molecules.
