The absence of dispersion leads to macroscopic degeneracy, suppression of transport and extreme sensitivity to perturbations. Slightest perturbations break the degeneracy and novel and interesting phases of matter emerge. I will discuss how flatbands can be constructed systematically and how effects of various perturbations can be analysed. Presenter: Alexei Andreanov |
